Newsletter signup
When you subscribe to the newsletter we store your email address, your IP address, and your browser's user-agent string. The email address is what we send the newsletter to; the IP and user-agent are kept for spam prevention and abuse handling only.
Email delivery is handled by Buttondown, our email service provider. Your email address is shared with Buttondown so it can send you the newsletter; it processes it under its own privacy policy. We never sell or share your email with anyone else.
Double opt-in & unsubscribing
We don't send anything until you confirm your subscription by clicking the link in the confirmation email (double opt-in). Every issue includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and we additionally maintain our own unsubscribe mechanism that works even if our email provider is unreachable. Unsubscribing takes effect immediately.
Affiliate link clicks
Product links on this site are Amazon affiliate links (see our affiliate disclosure). When you click one that routes through our redirect service, we log the product, the time, the referring page, and your browser's user-agent so we can tell which content is useful. These logs are not tied to your name or email.
Analytics
We use GoatCounter, a privacy-focused analytics service, to see aggregate page-view counts and which affiliate links get clicked. GoatCounter doesn't use cookies and doesn't collect personally identifiable information; it processes data under its own privacy policy. We don't run any other third-party analytics or advertising trackers, and we don't set tracking cookies ourselves.
Local storage
Your light/dark theme preference is saved in your browser's localStorage. It never leaves your device.
Data deletion & contact
To have your data deleted, or to ask what we hold about you, email privacy@pctechblitzer.com. We'll action requests within 30 days.
