Editorial standards
PCTechBlitzer exists because a lot of hardware coverage is either recycled PR or driven by affiliate SEO with no actual testing behind it. These are the rules we hold ourselves to so you can tell the difference.
Independence
- We do not accept gifts, sponsored posts, or paid placements. Ever.
- We pay retail for hardware whenever possible. Loaned samples are disclosed in the review and returned.
- Reviewers hold no stock in the companies whose products they cover.
Sources
- Numbers come from tests we ran ourselves on the test rigs described in our methodology.
- When we cite third-party data, we link to the source. If a source goes paywalled or dead, we replace the citation.
- Quotes are verbatim. If we edit for length, we mark the cut with an ellipsis.
Corrections
We correct errors at the top of the affected article with a dated
note, and bump the updatedAt date. If a benchmark result
changes enough to move a score by more than 0.5, we re-score the
product and explain why.
AI use
All reviews and guides are written by humans. We occasionally use AI tools to draft code snippets or summarize long datasheets, but every conclusion is the author's own.
